PayPal FAQ
First thing to point out is we don't use our private PayPal accounts for accepting payments related to Vids sites (this means we can't give you a certain email you could use to pay us through).
And the reason for that is PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy that states:
"You may not use the PayPal service for activities that:
relate to ... (e) stolen goods including digital and virtual goods, ... (h) items that infringe or violate any copyright, trademark, right of publicity or privacy or any other proprietary right under the laws of any jurisdiction, (i) certain sexually oriented materials or services..."
Simply put, if we used a private account for this transactions, it would be banned in a heartbeat. As such, we are using a third-party PayPal solution. How does that work?
It works as a network of thousands of "fake" PayPal accounts, as in each of those is pretending to be a legitimate merchant for VPN services, website designs etc. That is why you see such services as the intention of your payment when using PayPal. And the reason why this works is when you attempt the payment you are redirected to one of those accounts randomly. This way none of the accounts gets too much transaction traffic and does not draw a lot of attention from PayPal.
Now, a third-party solution means we are not the people operating it. In fact, we have zero control over it. To the point we are not informed in advance when there are downtimes or maintenance. Likewise, these people are not informed when PayPal is changing its algorithms or cracking down on how its accounts are used.
In practice, this translates to a situation that if you cannot use the PayPal payment method, we cannot fix it; we don't know, when it will be fixed, or if it will ever be fixed for that matter. If it works for you - great, otherwise - please use one of our other payment methods.
Of course, we are not happy about our PayPal solution being unreliable like that. The reason we are using it is it's simple to use, and as such is very popular with our members. In addition, they are charging us a 45% fee for all transactions, which is the reason PayPal prices are set higher than, for example, crypto.
Short version: If you're unable to pay with PayPal gateway - do not tell us about it. We cannot help you. You will have to use another payment method.
